Weitzman Announces Fall 2021 Lecture Series

The University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design Fall 2021 Lecture Series brings together distinguished architects, landscape architects, artists, geographers, historians, preservationists, planners, and data scientists who are actively re-shaping the built environment and visual culture. The series begins on Wednesday, September 15, with a book launch for Strange Objects, New Solids and Massive Things, which explores the work of Archi-Tectonics, the firm founded by Miller Professor and Chair of Architecture Winka Dubbeldam.

The series includes a two-day symposium on the preservation of Civil Rights sites, as well as lectures on how climate change is affecting the growth of vegetation, how existing buildings save carbon, and how user experience is informing the redesign of signage for the Philadelphia region’s transit system.

Admission is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required for visitors at in-person events. Unless noted otherwise, lectures take place at Meyerson Hall, 210 South 34th Street, Philadelphia.
