Philadelphia—The University of Pennsylvania School of Design (PennDesign) Spring 2019 Lecture Series brings more than 30 of the world’s leading architects, landscape architects, planners, artists, and preservationists to Philadelphia. The series opens on Tuesday, January 22, with a symposium on “Building Resilience by Design.” The schedule includes explorations of the history of Brutalism, the impact of climate change on historic preservation, and the cultural economy of nightlife in Philadelphia.
