This collection explores problems of large, historically significant institutional buildings that no longer function for their original purpose. Written to focus on the Richardson/Olmsted designed Buffalo Psychiattric Center in Buffalo, NY, the book considers theory and practice of the adaptive reuse of these large function-designed buildings.
