This renovation explores interlocking elements and visual ambiguity to offer visitors a more awe-inspiring circulatory journey through the museum, seamlessly aligning the architectural experience with the beauty of the art it houses.
In this design, program categorized and divided into various volumes that are then positioned adjacently to related programs and rotated to align to related site context. These programmatic blocks are then skewered by a circulation atrium that locks the programmatic pieces in place, and serves to let light in giving a more awe-inspiring procession to the various spaces through its monumental scale and sculptural form. Finally the exterior facade features frosted glass and large metal blades, that alter light, to create visual moments of erasure when viewing the building from different angles and times of day.
