Cloud Nexus
Cloud Nexus redefines spatial connectivity with a dynamic and fluid architectural language. Composed of interlocking and rotating cubic forms, the structure is intricately threaded by a network of pipes and columns, which serve not only as physical connectors but also as cultural and communal linkages.
Inspired by the original ICA, the design deconstructs and reinterprets its architectural elements, weaving them into a new spatial experience. The rooftop is transformed into a garden and a "Pipe Park," where pipes extend beyond their structural role to create seating, walkways, and outdoor exhibition spaces. Within the building, these pipes integrate seamlessly into the interior, guiding circulation, shaping exhibition displays, and contributing to the overall aesthetic.
Floating like a cloud above the ICA, the design blurs the boundaries between architecture and sky, offering a sense of lightness and fluidity. By merging structure, landscape, exhibition, and social engagement, Cloud Nexus becomes a dynamic nexus that connects architecture with the city, art with its audience, and people with culture.
