Tilted Realities II
This project, Tiled Realities II, continues the exploration of Russian Constructivist geometry initiated in Tilted Realities. Stage One introduced spatial tension through the inverse tiltation of external and internal perceptions, with a triangular staircase serving as the defining element. The staircase not only generated a dynamic interplay between movement and enclosure but also acted as the central spatial device, creating a sense of complexity and contrast within the design. The combination of tilted geometries and varying perspectives established a foundation for exploring spatial dynamics.
Tiled Realities II builds upon this foundation, carrying forward the triangular staircase as the central element while expanding its impact by generating rotational spaces and layered intersections. These intersecting volumes further explore spatial qualities such as light, shadow, transparency, and their effects on the user's perception and movement through the space. By examining the relationship between geometry, perception, and interaction, the project refines and extends the principles established in its predecessor, creating a continuation that evolves its spatial language.
