The fellowships provide funding for 40 early career research professionals to attend APPAM’s Fall Research Conference, which will be held November 8 - 10 in Washington, D.C. APPAM notes that promoting the work of early-career professionals like Reina is intended to shape the future of public policy research.
This is the second time Reina has been honored by APPAM. He earned the organization's prestigious Dissertation Award in 2016. Reina’s dissertation, The Impact of Mobility and Government Subsidies on Household Welfare and Rents, examines the behavior of landlords who provide affordable housing and the formation of policies to ensure the availability of affordable housing for low income households.
