Join Dr Mogas-Soldevila this Thursday April 18th on a public lecture for the "Physics & Contemporary Architecture" Series organized by Heinrich Jaeger & Sidney Nagel at the University of Chicago via the College Curricular Innovation Fund.
Laia will describe DumoLab's recent work on biomaterial composites invention and development of ambient conditions manufacturing techniques for regenerative architecture merging methods from biomedical sciences, engineering, and arts and crafts. Demonstrators presented at multiple scales are able to sense and adapt to environmental forces. Outputs will cover leather substitutes, plastic free printable woods, sand and natural fiber based concrete alternatives, as well as radiation, scent, pH, and toxin interactive systems for healthier homes.
