In a recent article published in the Journal of the American Planning Association, Megan Ryerson, an assistant professor in the Department of City and Regional Planning, and PennDesign Ph.D. candidate Amber Woodburn look at airport capacity vs. flight demand from a planning perspective, noting that there may well be alternatives for flight management that have less environmental impact--and a far cheaper price tag.
