"Bio-based Composite Spatial Shell Structures" was presented by Masoud Akbarzadeh at the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS 2023) in Australia. This research investigates the possibility of fabricating shell-based cellular structures using knitting techniques and impregnating them using bio-based materials in order to result in stable structures. This was a great collaboration between Polyhedral Structures Laboratory (Upenn), DumoLab* (Upenn), and SoftLab (PennState).
