Weitzman Facilities Policies

As a courtesy, faculty, staff, and students can arrange to have their packages sent to the school via the following address:

All packages must include recipient’s name as you will be required to show ID when picking up a package.

Personal letters, bills, magazines, and Netflix are not permitted.

We do not alert you when packages arrive. You will need to come to Meyerson room G29 and check the mail log for your package.

Due to limited space, we are unable to store packages for more than one month.

Policy: Flyers related to Weitzman- or Penn-organized activities can be posted on the gray bulletin boards in hallways or stairwells. For departmental events at Weitzman, you may contact the Office of Communications (news@design.upenn.edu) to have information shown on the lobby screens.

Information specific to studios should be posted within the studio on a pinnable homasote wall.

Pinning or taping to any other surface within the building is prohibited and will result in materials being removed and discarded.

Pets are not permitted in University buildings with the exception of service dogs.

Bicycle Policy

• Bicycles are not permitted within Weitzman buildings.
• All bicycles must be secured to exterior bike racks.
• Weitzman policy is consistent with University policy, and is necessary to ensure safe ingress and egress and U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.
• Failure to comply with policy will result in removal of bicycle from premises by Penn Police.
• This policy applies to scooters and any other similar means of transportation.

Registration & U-Lock Purchases

• The University of Pennsylvania Department of Public Safety offers services including:
  • Bicycle, electronic equipment, and valuable registration.
  • U-Lock Purchases.
  • Registration stickers for property to serve as theft-deterrent.
• Penn Students may register property by logging on to Campus Express Online.
  • One logged in, select "My Property Registration" to get protected.
• Penn Faculty & Staff may register property by logging on to U@Penn on the Penn website.  
  • Under Safety & Preparedness section, click on the link titled "Property Registration for Faculty & Staff."

• Property registration increases chances of property recovery in event of loss or theft.

• Parking is not permitted.
• See the Office of Operations & Planning for permission to load and unload onsite.
• The Office of Operations & Planning reserves the right to have vehicles parked without permission towed at the driver's expense.

Storage is not available within Weitzman buildings.  See Office of Operations & Planning for alternate suggestions.
