Day & Klauder
Day & Klauder Collection (069), Architecture Firm, 1913-1927
Day and Klauder was a partnership between Frank Miles Day (1861-1918) and Charles Z. Klauder (1872-1938) that operated from 1913-1927. The firm's works included private, public, and ecclesiastical buildings, in addition to extensive work for academic institutions throughout the United States such as the Undergraduate Dormitories at Princeton University (1908-1911), which is considered a highpoint of the "Collegiate Gothic" style.
The collection comprises architectural drawings, photographic materials and other records documenting over 200 buildings and projects designed between 1895-1958 by the architectural firm of Day and Klauder or by their predecessor or successor firms. Projects include private commissions, public buildings, and the firm's extensive work for collegiate institutions.
