Please note, our reading room will be closed to research for most of the month of July 2026, and several of our collections will be inaccessible and closed to research from May to September 2026, due to a building renovation project. There may be other disruptions, especially loud noises, throughout the summer.
We strongly recommend you contact the Architectural Archives prior to making any research or travel plans: archarchives@design.upenn.edu.

The Architectural Archives of the University of Pennsylvania preserves the works of more than 400 designers from the 17th century to the present. Use the search box or click on the architect or designer’s name in the list below to learn more about our holdings.
In-depth description of our collections is provided in finding aids, which are linked to individual collection pages. We are in the process of migrating our finding aids into the Philadelphia Area Archives finding aid repository. This site is a partnership between Penn Libraries and the Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL), bringing together collections from across the region in one search.
Our reading room is open to the public! If you have questions or wish to schedule a research consultation or visit, please contact the Architectural Archives: archarchives@design.upenn.edu.
