PennDesign faculty and students will be represented in the Venice Beinnale's international architecture exhibition, which opens to the public on May 26, 2018.
TIME SPACE EXISTENCE, hosted by the European Cultural Centre, is the fourth edition of this exhibition and will feature work from graduate architecture students. PennDesign's submission "12 Objects & 12 Images" will be on display in the Palazzo Mora, Strada Nuova 3659. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 24th at 6pm.
Associate Professor of Practice Ferda Kolatan and six PennDesign students will participate in ISKANDAR PUTERI 100YC, a Venice Biennale Session for Architecture exhibition organized by Tom Kovac. Titled "Hybrid Urbanity," the work is a collaboration between Kolatan's firm SU11 and students Miguel Abaunza, Angela Huang, Emilija Landsbergis, Angeliki Mavroleon, Rosanna Pitarresi, and Alex Tahinos. Miller Professor and Chair of Architecture Winka Dubbeldam's firm Archi-Tectonics will also be represented in the exhibition, located in the Sale d'Armi D, 1st Floor, in the Arsenale.
Additionally, Dubbeldam will speak on a panel as part of the International Jury for the 2018 Plan Magazine Award. This event will take place at the Hotel Excelsior on Wednesday, May 23 at 6pm.
