PennDesign congratulates faculty members Francesca Russello Ammon and Erick Guerra for earning tenure.
Francesca Ammon has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, with tenure, in the Department of City and Regional Planning and the Graduate Program in Historic Preservation. Ammon is a cultural historian of the post-World War II American city, with an emphasis on the built environment and landscape change. Her research is especially powerful on who suffers and who benefits from urban change.
Erick Guerra has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, with tenure, in the Department of City and Regional Planning. Guerra’s research addresses transportation planning, especially the relationships of transportation systems to urban form and travel behaviors, and the consequences of these systems, such as pollution and public spending. PennDesign is quickly becoming a leader in transportation planning research and Guerra is one of the reasons.
Their promotions will be effective in July of 2019.
