As we head into the final stretch of the Fall semester and prepare for final reviews, Weitzman IT would like to remind you of the following resources and recommendations.  Plan early to make sure you have any reserved equipment and printed material available in time for your presentations! Do not wait until the last minute.

As we move into final reviews, it is important to be aware of the best practices in printing to simplify your workflow when sending your prints.

Please review the 5 points below to avoid the most common mistakes that lead to extended wait times and print failures.

ISC recently enabled the Pronouns module for PennO365. This module allows users to configure Outlook and OWA (Outlook Web Access) to include a user's pronouns in their profile.

Dear Students,

As mid reviews are in full swing, please follow these basic steps when printing to avoid wasted paper and make sure your jobs are efficiently processed.

As part of Penn’s Identity & Access Management (IAM) Program, improvements to the Two-Step Verification user experience are coming on November 14, 2023 with the release of Duo Universal Prompt. Duo Universal Prompt is a vendor-supplied Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) application that will replace Penn’s current custom Two-Step service for PennKey authentication. PennKey will integrate directly with Duo for a seamless user experience.

Faculty, Staff and students,

Some of you reported various issues with BOX this afternoon.  Box users did report issues but it looks that the problems have subsided as of 3pm today.

Maintenance (continued) needs to be performed on our firewalls which will require downtime of the FortiClient VPN, Thursday @ 8:00pm - 10:00pm ET.

Please be sure to disconnect from the FortiClient VPN before the outage window. If you are on a physical Ethernet connection in the affected buildings, please anticipate intermittent connectivity issues until the outage is complete – consider restarting or logging off before the end of your day.

Time: Thursday 10/5/2023 at 8pm - 10pm

Some of you reported to ithelp@design.upenn.edu an increase in Box notifications over the weekend.  ISC determined the root cause of this this and addressed this Sunday afternoon. ISC sent out the following communication to schools and centers regarding this issue.
