Jacques Gréber Collection (102), Architect, 1882-1962
Jacques Gréber was a French architect specializing in landscape architecture and urban design. He was a strong proponent of the Beaux-Arts style and a contributor to the City Beautiful movement, particularly the 1917 master plan for the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
This collection comprises five presentation renderings made by Gréber documenting his design proposals for the garden of Stotesbury Estate, “Whitemarsh Hall” (1917-20).
