Elizabeth Delmelle, Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Urban Spatial Analytics (MUSA) program, has been named Editor-in-Chief of the leading spatial analysis journal Geographic Analysis. Her term began on July 1, 2025.
Delmelle brings extensive editorial experience to her position, previously serving as Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Transport Geography and on editorial boards for Geographic Analysis, Applied Geography, Transactions in GIS, and Informatics and Telematics. Her research leverages geospatial and machine learning tools to explore urban inequality, neighborhood change, and urban transportation systems. Delmelle succeeds Rachel Franklin, Executive Director of the Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard University.
Founded in 1969, Geographic Analysis is published quarterly on behalf of Ohio State University. The first issue helmed by Delmelle is due in October 2025.
