The Johnson & Johnson Scholars Award Program aims to fuel development of female STEM2D leaders and feed the STEM2D talent pipeline by awarding and sponsoring women at critical points in their careers, in each of the STEM2D disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design. Assistant Prof. Laia Mogas-Soldevila's proposal will be funded for 3 years and targets "Implants to Buildings" optimizing life sciences’ biomaterials into architectural components for healthier construction. She will focus on design and manufacturing of bio-concrete and bio-lattice material systems with her group DumoLab Research at the Weitzman School of Design's Department of Graduate Architecture. A celebratory symposium will be held on October 26th 2023 and streamed here.
