As we head into the final stretch of the fall semester, Weitzman ITS would like to remind you of the following resources and recommendations. Plan early to make sure you have reserved equipment and printed material available in time for your reviews! Do not wait until the last minute.
AV Resources
- Reminder to coordinate any AV equipment reservations well in advance for your reviews. Reservations must be coordinated via your department coordinator! Check with your department/faculty/instructor first! Please request finals AV equipment via SmartSheet by 11/29.

Printing
- For detailed information about printer access including pricing, location, and access, please visit our Printing webpage.
- If you have never plotted before YOU NEED TO TAKE THE MANDATORY PLOTTING QUIZ in advance and be approved for access. Please familiarize yourself with the process before your final review. Tips to remember: save your file to the desktop and make sure your file is flattened. If you have trouble, restart Adobe Reader.
- We encourage studios to designate printing liaisons who would be available to help address supplies and basic printing support after hours. Email ithelp@design.upenn.edu to set up a 15-minute training session before December 5th to be trained on how to change paper on the plotters.
- Do not forget to format your PDF Files for printing; PDF Preparation for Printing provides helpful tips for the flattening process.
- Print as early as possible. Stop by the IT Help Desk if you need assistance or would like to send a test print with staff before finals!
Cloud Storage
Make sure you are using these resources in case you have issues with your personal device! Your data will be accessible in case of a hardware issue!
- Penn+Box: Cloud Based collaboration service available to all full-time faculty, staff, and students.
- Microsoft O365 One Drive: Cloud based collaboration service available with O365 accounts.
Computer Labs
- Lab and Class Info
- Weitzman Computer labs available 24/7.
- Make sure to log out of a computer when you are finished with your session!
- Unattended computer stations will be logged out and restarted by IT staff.
- Please keep the area clean as this is a public computer lab.
Extended IT Support
- Weitzman IT staff will adjust work schedules to provide additional support during the finals review period. We will send out an announcement closer to the finals time with the IT staff schedule.
