The Fabrication Lab serves as a practical laboratory extension of classroom theory. The Lab is equipped for all phases of woodworking, metalworking, and machining, as well as digital fabrication with CNC routing, laser cutting, and 3D printing. The lab is available to all University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design students and to all students enrolled in ancillary Weitzman courses. All eligible students must complete the mandatory Safety Course in order to utilize any of the Lab's resources.
-You must complete the online Lab Safety Course Module in Workday before you may enter the Lab and use any of its resources. You must log in to Workday and activate your learning account in order to access the Safety Course (Workday homepage -> Announcements -> Activate Learning Account). After activating you may need to refresh the browser or open the course in a new browser to jumpstart the action. If you do not see the activation prompt in 'Announcements,' it may already be activated.
-Please be sure to de-activate any pop-up blockers to allow the course pop-up window to open.
