Courseware Services

REMINDER: If you are looking to use this for your Fall 2023 course offering you MUST submit a request to have your Canvas Course created! (Request a new Canvas Site link)
Communication
O365 Email account: All members of the Weitzman School receive an O365 email account which is used for official communication at the university. For details and access please view our O365 Email page.
All faculty, lecturers, and instructors were included on the design-faculty email list. All official communication from Weitzman will be sent via this email list.
Cloud Storage Resources
PennBox: Cloud based collaboration service available to all faculty, staff, and students.
Microsoft O365 One Drive: Cloud based collaboration service available with O365 accounts.
Printing
Small format laser printers and large format plotters are available to all Weitzman users. If you wish to use the large format plotters, you are required to pass a printing quiz first. All details regarding printing, locations and pricing can be found at our Printing page.
Hardware Upgrades
This summer Weitzman ITS upgraded the following equipment in Meyerson Hall:
- HP Design Jet Z6200 large format plotter replaced with a Design Jet Z6810 plotter
- Xerox Color Laser 7800 on the 3rd floor replaced with Xerox Color laser Versalink C8000DT
Web Conferencing Solutions
All Weitzman faculty, students, and staff have access to a University Zoom account. You should ONLY be using the university Zoom accounts since these are under FERPA agreements and provide features that are integrated only under the university license.
All Weitzman faculty, students, and staff also have access to Microsoft Teams accounts.
AV Resources in Studios and Weitzman Spaces

All Meyerson Studio spaces had preventative maintenance completed earlier this summer to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
Note: Each Meyerson studio space with a ceiling mounted projector and input panel will have an AV bag at the location with an HDMI cable to be used for the designated studio. Please ensure your students are taking proper care of this equipment.
Note: Several Display carts were upgraded (or are currently in the upgrade process) with new onboard micro-PC stations.
Weitzman Computer Labs and Central Pool Classrooms
All Central Pool Classroom reservations (either in Meyerson or other campus locations) should be coordinated with your departmental staff using this webform: https://www.design.upenn.edu/forms/classroom-reservations.
Weitzman computer labs in Meyerson, Addams, and Weitzman Hall may be reserved via the individual links found here: https://www.design.upenn.edu/it/lab-and-class-info
Software lists and schedules are posted on the webpage for each computer lab space.
Note: The Myerson 321 and 324 computer labs and Addams 106 PC Lab were upgraded this past summer with Dell Precision 3660 Towers. Addams 001 (Silverstein) and 012 were outfitted with new Mac Studio computers and Apple Studio Displays.

Software
Please visit our Software page for detailed information regarding software. Detailed lists of software in computers labs are highlighted on individual computer lab sections.
NOTE: Students may purchase an Adobe subscription on personal devices! These are available at a much-discounted rate for Weitzman students only or students enrolled in Weitzman courses!
Adobe is available for free in all Weitzman computer labs for students use. Students will need a free Adobe account in order to use the software in computer labs.
