Brigitte and John Christopher Knowles Collection (029), Architects & Planners

Brigitte L. Knowles and John Christopher Knowles received their Master’s of Architecture degrees in 1971 and 1965 respectively from the University of Pennsylvania where they studied with Louis I. Kahn. Their work focused on the philosophy that "architecture has the potential to be a curative power through the embodiment of all the senses."

The BJC / Knowles collection documents 32 architectural commissions from 1969 to 1989, including drawings and models.
