Samuel Yellin Collection (049), Metalworker, 1884-1940
Samuel Yellin was an architectural metalworker and an instructor at the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art. He established his own shop in 1909 and designed and built ironwork for some of the most important American architects of his time.
This collection contains project files, office records, photographs and drawings dated from 1912-1981. The collection does not contain drawings for the final design for each project, which were retained by the firm. Projects include Edward Bok Residences, Brick Presbyterian Church, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
