Marianna Thomas Collection (380), Architect, b. 1946
Marianna Thomas studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, and worked for Mitchell/Giurgola after graduation. Marianna Thomas established her own firm in Philadelphia in 1979, Marianna Thomas Architects, which became an award-winning firm for its adaptive reuse and historic preservation projects including College Hall and Furness Library on the University of Pennsylvania’s campus, Philadelphia City Hall, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Thomas teaches historic preservation and architecture at Temple University.
The Marianna Thomas Collection contains drawings, project documents and samples for work completed by Marianna Thomas Architects between 1979 and 2018.
