Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi Collection (085), Architect, b. 1927
Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi is an Indian architect who worked under Le Corbusier and Louis Kahn. He is a pioneer of modernist and brutalist architecture in India and is the first Indian architect to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Noteworthy projects include IIM Bangalore, IIM Udaipur, NIFT Delhi, Amdavad ni Gufa, CEPT University, and the Aranya Low Cost Housing development.
This collection contains drawings from 1978-97 for Sangath, Gandhi Labor Institute, and Vidyadhar Nagar Housing, and others.
