Savery, Scheetz & Gilmour Collection (042), Architecture Firm, 1909-1971
The firm of Savery, Scheetz & Gilmour traced its beginnings to the practice of Addison Hutton (1834- 1916), established in 1870, but the name of the firm was derived from the association of William Cramp Scheetz (1872-1945) and Albert H. Savery (1871-1939), first formed in 1899. The firm's name changed throughout the years when new partners joined to Savery, Scheetz & Savery, then Savery & Scheetz, and finally Savery, Scheetz & Gilmour
The Savery, Scheetz, & Gilmour Collection comprises 834 architectural drawings (790 original drawings and 44 photomechanical prints) and 65 photographs documenting 53 projects 1909 to 1971. It includes institutional, ecclesiastical, commercial and military projects.
